COLLABORATIVE INTERIOR DESIGN SERVICES
A licensed architect of over 15 years, Lia Rodi’s commissioned art services easily partner with any form of interior design. her understanding of light, composition and space - as well her deep desire to channel her client’s vision - allows her to create commissioned pieces that not only elevate spaces, but seamlessly integrate within them.
CUSTOM COMMISSIONS
Custom commissions are the most intimate form of collaboration between artist and client. Channeling a client’s vision into a piece of visual art can be an act of courage, intimacy and vulnerability. Capturing the essence of a client’s vision, feeling or experience and transposing it into a seeable and touchable work of art is the most rewarding part of being an artist. It is that very materialization of a connection and energy that drives Lia Rodi’s creativity.
“I’VE NEVER COMMISSIONED A PAINTING BEFORE, SO I WASN’T HOW THE PAINTING WOULD TURN OUT OR IF I WOULD ACTUALLY SEE VALUE IN MY INVESTMENT. LIA MADE THE EXPERIENCE A PLEASURE! IT WAS A DELIGHTFUL TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE, BECAUSE THE PAINTING REPRESENTED MY GRANDPARENT’S TEXAS HILL COUNTRY PROPERTY. I GAVE HER SOME GUIDANCE ON WHAT THE LANDSCAPE LOOKED LIKE BUT SPENT MOST OF THE TIME TELLING HER ABOUT MY CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCE OUT IN NATURE. IT WAS AMAZING TO ME TO SEE HOW SHE TRANSLATED MY THOUGHTS VIA THE PAINTBRUSH TO CANVAS. LIA SENT A FEW PICTURES AT THE BEGINNING SO THAT I COULD GIVE HER SOME FEEDBACK. THEN, SHE INVITED ME TO HER COOL STUDIO TO ASSESS THE NEARLY FINISHED PAINTING. WHEN I FIRST SAW THE PAINTING, I COULDN’T SPEAK. I JUST WANTED TO SIT THERE, LOOK AND DREAM ABOUT MY ADVENTURES WITH MY GRANDPARENTS AND COUSINS IN THE HILL COUNTRY. IT WAS LIKE VISITING THEM AGAIN. LIA NAILED THE FINAL VERSION, AND THE STUDIO MADE IT EASY WITH DELIVERY.” -M.W.
